Wondering what you’re going to do this weekend? Well, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve got the scoop for you on where to go and what to do.
There’s always First Friday. This is a fun event if you enjoy looking at art, drinking wine and beer for pretty cheep and sampling food from one of the many local food trucks that may be parked outside of CAM. I enjoy first Friday I. The summer when the walking is more comfortable.
If you wanna try something new to the area, Dashi is the place to be! They opened up Tuesday and were welcomed with open arms to the Durham area. With a ramen bar downstairs and a traditional Izakaya on the top floor, you’ll be able to find something you like. This fantastic spot is a collaboration between the owners of Toast and a popular pop up called The cookery. I can’t wait to check them out.
There’s a new Caribbean restaurant on Fayetteville St. in downtown raleigh that I am excited to check out. They don’t have an online menu or formal website so you’ll have to check in on their Facebook page for now. The fritters look delicious, as do the drinks and burgers.
Gonza Tacos and Tequila opened a new location in Durham at 604 Fernway Ave. They have a location on Lead Mine in Raleigh and one in Wake Forest. I haven’t been yet, and plan on visiting the Raleigh location this weekend. I’ll certainly report on my findings soon.
Hope you all have amazing weekends planned. I have some great adventures I will be embarking on. Live it up and let me know what trouble you got into.
