Yuri Japanese Restaurant
The triangle area has some great spots for sushi. While I usually frequent spots closer to North Raleigh, I was recently fortunate enough to have lunch at a lovely spot in Cary called Yuri Japanese Restaurant.
I’ve had carry out from Yuri on several occasions and always find it to be tasty, but this particular lunch visit was exceptional. They have a large variety of rolls including some baked rolls, deep fried, house special, without rice and without seeweed. I’m a creature of habit, so while I’ve tried some from most categories I tend to stick to my favorites.
Pictured above is the Tango roll. It has shrimp tempura and crab meat, inside. Salmon and avocado on top with four special sauces on top. Look how beautiful!
This is the Temptation roll. It’s basically the same as the tango, with an addition of cream cheese inside and crab stick on top. Both of these rolls have the delicious sauces on top (which is why I typically order them both).
I’ve had other rolls here, like the Leaf roll and the Yuri roll, both delicious. And they have my favorite volcano roll in the area. But I keep going back for these two. The are known for their Ahi Tower. It’s a giant structure with layers of spicy tuna, crab meat, avocado, sushi rice, 3 kinds of caviar, spicy mayo, sweet sauce. I’m not a huge fan of spicy tuna but from what I’ve heard it’s pretty great!
If you like sushi, I highly recommend that you give Yuri a try. Especially for lunch. The prices are great, the location so convenient and the service is quick and friendly. I can’t wait to go back.
